The band is a traditional concert band open to everyone high school age and older.
Our mission is three-fold:
First, to provide a space for local musicians to come together, to share the joy of making music, and to develop their talents in both rehearsal and performance.
Second, to serve our community by performing concerts for pure entertainment, for commemorating holidays, and for charitable fundraising.
Third, to serve the children of Burbank and surrounding areas through performances in their schools, teaching them about music and band instruments.
Band practices are on Friday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30. (Why? See the Band History page.)
Rehearsal location is at Robert Gross Park 2800 Empire Ave, Burbank, CA 91504.
Bring a music stand and, of course, your instrument(s). There are NO auditions and NO fee to play.
Concert uniform consists of a band-logo shirt, black pants, socks and shoes. These are provided by the band members. The shirt with the band’s logo is available for purchase through the band.
The music the band performs ranges from marches and show tune medleys to traditional concert band repertoire. There’s something for everyone at every performance.
